The seen is always unseen

A little something for my Ireland supporters:

Fall of '09 and all of 2010 has been an exciting, challenging, and somewhat difficult year for me.
Starting with living in Little Rock I came to realize more time I had to read God's word, but still struggled being away from some of my family and friends back Home (Tulsa,OK.) God showed me His love, I learned to love like I've never felt love before. With this love I was able to love others. Even though I grew up going to church my whole life, going to retreats, camps every summer, volunteering with any opportunity that was given, and of course other missions trip. Having a terrific family that loved me, I still felt something missing.

I realized for the first time going on the trip to Ireland how much I would always say I would do something for Him, but would get scared or try to "forget" about it. I learned more things about me this summer then I ever had before. I feel I have a new testimony to share with others especially young girls struggling that I never even realized could be how I reach out to others. It's very hard for me to write down, but you can always ask me! My testimony may be shocking, unreal, and even depressing. But it's my life and that's why God put me here so I may be able to help others!

This isn't the only thing I learned going on this trip. There are so many people out there that are so confused about who they are and what to believe. I wish I could now just go out there and start something for people to find out who they really are and God's purpose for them. I sure learned my purpose in life and that's to serve Him some day out on the missions field.

My future goals

Since I've graduated from high school this past school year I didn't know where I would end up for sure. I had my ideas, but I never had a 100% definite answer for anyone. Sad to say I still don't have it 100%, but I'm praying hard and hope God will help me every step of the way! As some of you know I decided to take my first semester off to get things situated and work so that I'm ready for all that great expenses for college!
One thing I know for sure is, I plan to move back to Tulsa in January. This is a def. thing that is going to happen, only thing is I don't know where I will live yet. I'm planing to get a car in October and go visit Tulsa the last week! I figured I will only be needing a place for 5 months considering I plan to work at New Life Ranch all of next summer and when I'm back in town on weekends I can stay with a friend!
You probably want to know why January and not just go now. Well, one I don't have more then enough money if I get an apartment with a friend, two don't have a car of my own, three by January I will have enough money saved up to have more options!
For college: I'm on the waiting list for College of Ozark in Missouri, but if I don't get in this Spring or next fall I will do TCC for two years and transfer to OSU.
My degree: I want to major in Elementary Education which could lead to teaching in different countries for missions or just here in the states as well! Being a teacher is putting all that I've enjoyed doing over the years of my jobs to one thing. I'm excited, but not in any rush. All up to God and His timing!

Thank you so much everyone for your help and prayers!

In God's Hands,
Kristi

BACK from Ireland!

Gods grace, that is one big thing that happened during the first week during training camp that bonded all 46 of us going to Ireland! Most of us have never experienced it “in person,” but spiritually. I was one, even though it was planned by the training camp staff, they did a great job! Grace definitely didn’t just teach us a lesson to accept, but turned our Ireland Missions Team into a family!
What we learned in that first week would got us completely ready to share what kind of relationship we have with Jesus Christ with anyone and everyone! One thing we had to accept as a family were the rules, now these rules weren’t strict, but guide lines if you want to enjoy the trip. “PRIORITIES” Prompt, Responsible, Initiate, Organize, (1. Passport 2. Slack time 3. Daily laundry 4. Pack) Relationships (40/60- 3-friends only) Injury-report it, Talk, (stop and listen) I- that’s the problem - yield your rights! Enthusiasm (Choose to Ooze!) Sleep (Don’t worry about it.) This was a big thing that would help all of us throughout the next 4 weeks being together!
Londonderry (Northern Ireland)- We stayed in Eberington Presbyterian Church one the floors with what bedding we had brought. We got right into action the following morning we arrived with the tiddlers (toddlers and their moms.) Other things in the church was Integrity (youth) Wednesday-Friday nights, Holiday Bible Camp (for kids ages 6-12) July 12th-16th each evening, and leading worship and sharing testimonies during morning services on Sunday which I got to play the piano! We did a total of 3 street performances which follow up with talking to the city people after. We had a totally of 13 teens get saved in those 10 days!
Skerries (Southern Ireland)- This place is 45 minutes directly East of Dublin on the coast. This was Royal Servants first time to stay in Southern Ireland ever! We got connected with a small town church called Cornerstone Church that started about 2 years ago. They are meeting in a primary school/ elementary school every Sunday at 5pm. We stayed in the school classrooms the 7 days there. We got involved with the church by helping out in their first “Kids Camp” 3pm-5pm, July 19th-21st. Skerries is very different then Londonderry, more diverse, and not as strong as an accent. There are also several teens in Skerries which gave us all a great interaction and new relationships. So, we hosted an American Block Party, and since most of them know how to party we were going to show them how we do it! This gave us great oppurtunitys when we went out toward the harbor to invite people to come. One of the days (July 22nd) we got to go into Dublin for the day and do two performances in the city where 1 person recommitted their life to Christ! It happened Friday, July 23rd, 7pm-9pm which ended up ending at about 11pm cause of so many teens hungry for God! Six teens accepted Christ that night after we shared our performances (dance and drama.) I was honored to leading a girl named Shannon age 15 to Christ that night who I had met earlier that week when handing out invitations! It was so powerful to see how hungry she was for Him and how many questions she had for Jenessa and I to answer! Once I had prayed with her, she was glowing with Joy and Happiness! I was so proud of her and I am still keeping in contact with her, her twin sister Saoirse, and their friends!
Nonetheless, Ireland is very proud of their culture and heritage! It was very exciting to be able to visit a castle, monks living grounds, giants casaway, church ruins/castle of St. Patricks locations, the city, and farm lands!
Overall, I had such an amazing experience and it was sad to leave all the new friends I had met in Ireland and my wonderful Royal Servants Ireland family! We had our last 5 days in London were we debriefed with 5 different sessions into getting back to our regular life in the states and what we were going to change when we get back! We also got to spend two full days inside London, but that’s not as important as to the kids, teens, and adults that we helped lead to Christ! Still need prayer for all of them for most of them are still growing and have a ton of questions that need to be answered, pray that they find the answers through His word! Thank you for all your prayers and support!

Ireland Update from "Mom"

Hi Friends and Family! We heard from Kristi from the Chicago airport a week ago Monday afternoon, July 5th. She told me I could share how much she learned during training, especially about God's grace. You may find more on www.reignministries.org  She was excited, and the Ireland Team Leader was going to try to make sure everyone slept during the flight to London, since it would be morning when they arrived. They are about six hours ahead of us in Central Time here.

We didn't hear anything until the 13th, when we received a phone message. Everything is going well, they are ministering to many people in Londonderry, Ireland, and we're planning to leave for Skerries mid-week. The library there has been closed, so internet access wasn't available. I know she'd love to update you personally, as soon as she can, so keep checking back.

Your prayers for her, the team, salvations, and follow up by the churches are so appreciated.

Because He Lives,
Charlotte Driver

11 More Days!! (Ireland 3)

Garage Sale #1 for Trip (6/12/10)
Alison and I had a successful garage sale last Saturday!!
Lots of people brought stuff for us to sell and still have a bunch of stuff, so we decided might as well have another one next Saturday! So don't worry it isn't too late to bring stuff to sell. My goal that I thought we may get was at least $150, but with prayers and help from neighbors and friends we raised over $245!!
Pictures below!

We had a lot of fun doing this and can't wait to do again this week! Thanks everyone for making this first garage sale possible!!

Update:
You know those times when you just think it's impossible to be ready or have what you want on time at the right time?!
These past two weeks God has really been showing me to stay strong and don't worry, because He will do it all! I have gotten about $400 more into my trip plus half of what we made at the garage sale! Which gives sets me at about $2,080. Only need about $1000 more to go, plus I have been told by some more people who are going to be giving as well! This has helped me realize so much and never give up on the things God has planned for you!

It's all in my head:
I've come to realize yesterday that I am ACTUALLY going to be gone for FIVE weeks! It made me think of everyone I will miss and how I am going to really have to stay strong and busy focusing on the work God has for me! I know at times it will be tiring, challenging, and stressful, but I will just need to keep saying this is for God, not myself! I want to be like Christ and travel places like Him just to tell the good news! This is such a great opportunity and I know I've been saying that a lot, but I tell all my friends they just need to experience something like this so powerful at least once in their life! Even if you heard it's great, you can't even describe it, you just have to see for yourself! When I see commercials on TV about children and countries in need it reminds me of my past and to come missions trips. Because even though you see the terrible condition people are in on TV, it is way different in person. You can't even think of the commercial, your heart just stops for a second and that's when you realize the need! I wish I could somehow get every student who is a believer to reach out at least for 2 weeks during the year overseas or even just at a camp! Someday, I guess.

Pictures of what I have ready to be packed...so far!!

This is "the box" which is the only thing besides a backpack that I get to fit everything for 5 weeks in! This will be exciting of how I will get everything to fit! Don't worry, I won't leave you out. I will give you details on how it all works out!

This is what I have so far to put in my box. Clothes, shoes, bedding, zip-lock bags full of bug spray, first aid kit, and more, and of course can't forget toilet paper (oh joy!)

Coming up:
In my next post, which will be my last one before I leave for Training camp. I will give complete details on my the dates and schedule for the trip! That way you will know for sure when I will be back home and what days we will be were! Thanks everyone for your prayers and support!!

Love,
Kristi

Almost here! (Ireland 2)

I'm seeing more and more of my friends already leaving for their big trips for Him, One has left for Uganda this past Monday, another leaving for Africa as well tomorrow, and several others! So, everyone needs prayers for this summer and their trips besides me!
Well, seems to be coming up faster and faster!! Alison and I have planned a garage sale to support our trip this Saturday. We have handed out fliers and taking items in good condition. So far we don't have enough things to even call it a Garage Sale, but we are hoping by tomorrow we will be receiving some more stuff!
Work has been giving me a lot more hours and has been going great! I plan to use the money I've worked for towards my spending money!
This is getting so exciting and still can't believe I'm doing this crazy thing for 5 weeks! It's all in God's hands and that's how it's going to be forever!
